Family, friends, firefighters gather to reveal Carson Hall bench

Carson Hall lived just down the street from Garden Grove Park on 32nd Avenue. He passed away at age six on Feb. 10, 2018 from complications involved with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, a form of brain cancer. Family, friends and members of the Hutchinson Fire Department gathered at the park Friday to surprise Carson’s mother, Lindsey Hall, and family with the new bench.

Gorhams prepare for their son’s upcoming brain surgeries

Weighing only 17 pounds, 10-month-ol William Gorham lay sleeping in the infant carrier sitting on the picnic table beside his mother and father, Travis and Jessica Gorham, as they watched their 1-year-old daughter Grace, play at Forest Park.

 

"All he does is sleep anymore, because of all the meds he's on," Jessica said of William, who was born Aug. 1 in Parsons.

Help dries up for Wichita mom trying to give dying sons a new home

We first told you about Heather's wish to provide her sons with a new, more comfortable home on Mother's Day.

"It's the last thing I can do for them, is make sure their time from now until the end is absolutely happy and filled with peace," she told KAKE News at the time

She says at first, Kansans stepped up to help fulfill that wish.

Melissa Jaquez has two sons with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa

A mother has revealed how she was accused of burning her sons after a rare condition left them with 'butterfly skin'.

Melissa Jaquez, of Wichita, Kansas, would often have police knocking on her door investigating whether she was abusing her children when their painful disorder left them unable to attend school.
